Precision punching machine photoelectric protection device, also known as photoelectric hand guard or safety light curtain, is a non mandatory optional device for precision punching machines. It mainly provides safety protection for dangerous processing areas of precision punching machines and protects the personal safety of stamping production personnel. With the increasing demands of stamping customers for processing and production safety, more and more customers have chosen to install photoelectric protection devices for punching machines. After installing photoelectric protection devices on high-speed punching machines, they can provide protection when the sliding block of the punching machine descends for stamping. Once an object is detected in the dangerous processing area, it can automatically control the punching machine to stop, fundamentally ensuring the safety of the punching machine operators.
The precision punching machine photoelectric protection device consists of a light emitter, a light receiver, a steel pipe bracket, a signal cable, and a controller. The controller is composed of an intermediate relay, a stop button, and a return solenoid valve. The coil of the intermediate relay is connected to the output end of the PLC controller, and the normally open contact of the intermediate relay is connected in series in the circuit of the return solenoid valve. The stop button is connected in parallel with the photoelectric protection device and connected to the input end of the PLC controller. The light emitted by the light emitter is directly directed to the light receiver, forming a protective light curtain. When the light curtain is obstructed, the light receiver generates a shading signal, which is transmitted to the controller through a signal cable. The controller processes this signal to generate a control signal, which controls the alarm device of the braking control circuit of the precision punching machine to achieve the parking or safety alarm of the punching machine.
During the downward process of the precision punch slide, the coil of the intermediate relay in the photoelectric protection device controller should not be energized, causing the return solenoid valve to not work; When the photoelectric protection device of the precision punching machine detects an object in the hazardous area, its normally open contact closes, which is equivalent to pressing the stop button. The input end of the PLC controller conducts, and all electromagnetic valves of the precision punching machine lose power, causing the punching machine to stop descending.
